Mrs Worthy was so impressed with our glockenspiel playing today she gave us a class point.

Our new text is Handa’s Surprise. We investigated all sorts of African artefacts and then made our own display.

We had a Cheerleading session today.

Merry Christmas from Yellow Class. We have performed our nativity, raised money for charity wearing our Christmas jumpers and made a lot of Christmas crafts. A BIG thank you to our PTFA for organising a Father Christmas visit and a super class disco.

As part of our ‘No Pens’ day when we focussed on our communication skills we made dens to give us some ideas with our Three Little Pigs stories.

For anti- bullying day we made an odd sock display celebrating our differences. We also wore odd socks.

We dressed up and raised a lot of money for Children in Need day.

Today we went outside with Red Class and Blue Class and held the poppies that we had made as we were silent for a minute for Remembrance Day.

We had a taster tag rugby session today.

We enjoyed our walk around the village. We took pictures of houses old and new. We looked at all of the different trees and we recorded the route we had taken when we got back to the classroom.

Thank you to our amazing PTFA for another fabulous firework night.

We enjoyed making clay owls and painting them to go with our Owl Babies stories and finish our display.

Mr Sapsford from the local ‘Tree Society’ came in and talked to us about trees and leaves. We then explored our grounds investigating all the different trees and leaves.

We started our class text ‘Owl Babies’ by going to the wooded areas in the school grounds and finding some owls.

Winscombe School Dot Day

To finish our whole school ‘Aspirations ‘start to term we had a dot day. We all dressed up in dotty clothes. We did some dot activities, making patterns, decorating dots for our whole school display and creating dotty pictures. We also set ourselves challenges. One of our challenges was to walk along our outdoor trail blindfolded, but we always had a friend to help us.

Ardman Animation Wow Day.

Can you see which character we made ?

Welcome back Yellow Class. We can’t wait to see you and hear all about your summer holidays. We have got the classroom ready for you to have a fabulous start to term.
