Winscombe Primary School

Welcome

As Executive Headteacher of the Strawberry Line Federation, it is a real privilege and a delight to welcome you to our Schools.

In 2013, our two successful village schools joined to form the Strawberry Line Federation, continuing to serve the community that we have been at the heart of for many years.

At the Strawberry Line, we are committed to providing the very highest standard of education.  Children are empowered to be proactive in their learning, striving to push themselves forward and achieve more than they ever thought possible.  We firmly believe that everyone can improve at everything if they are supported in the very best way and they absolutely try their best.

While academic success is very important to us in our schools, it is not our sole focus, as we believe in offering broad and enriching experiences, be it public speaking competitions, Forest School expeditions or ‘end of year productions’.  Such opportunities are what makes for a rounded, interesting and stimulated child.

Above all else, we hope that all the members of our community feel safe, valued and supported.  Once this happens, they can flourish.

By the time our children leave us, they are prepared for life in the 21st Century, equipped with the appropriate skills, knowledge and attitudes to succeed now and in the future.  Where they venture when they leave us is up to them.  However, with the right grounding, they should have the world at their feet and the tools to ensure they thrive.

Now, if one sprinkles in some fun and enjoyment (if you cannot laugh and smile in Primary School, there is probably something wrong), we hope you will start to see just what the Strawberry Line Federation is all about.

With any luck, you will have found all that you need on our website.  However, if you would like any further details about our Federation or wish to have a tour, please do not hesitate to contact the school offices to arrange an appointment to visit.
