Sven is married to Charlotte and they have four children, two of who, are currently at Winscombe Primary School. He likes to be involved with the local community which is why he became a member of the Parish Council for Loxton where he has lived for the last 6 years. During his spare time, he is a member of Winscombe RFC and is one of the coaches of the Under 6 team and the Under 7 team. Sven is also a referee for Winscombe RFC and the Somerset Rugby Referee Society.
In his professional life, Sven is a Business Analyst for Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) and has 17 years’ experience in project management, business management, marketing, financial management and human resources.
Sven has wanted to be a parent governor ever since he saw the impact his father was able to make as a governor of the school he attended. Making a positive contribution to both Winscombe and Sandford Primary Schools by working with the wider board of governors and Headteacher would allow him to play a greater part within the Winscombe community and give back to the school, whilst providing an opportunity for personal development for himself.
