Our Adventures in Red Class
Parents and carers, we know this is a very big time for you too. We are all mummies in Red Class so understand all of your worries and concerns. We promise to make the start of your child's educational journey the best we possibly can. Please come and talk to us if you have any worries or questions. We are really excited to be learning alongside your children this year!

Term 4 in Red Class
After thoroughly learning all about dinosaurs last term, we are transporting ourselves to become the best superheroes in the world! We cannot wait to immerse ourselves into the world of superheroes. We will be focusing mainly on the book Supertato and of course be learning all about Easter as the term progresses!
Red Class really enjoyed celebrating Random Acts of Kindness day today. We have always spoken about being kind so this wasn’t a challenge for us, however today we took it in turns to pick out a challenge card and completed it by the end of the day e.g. tell a joke, cheer someone up if they are feeling sad, hold a door open for someone, say thank you to your teachers for helping you learn, say thank you to our school cooks, help another child with their learning, pick up any litter etc. We also celebrated by having a circle together and discussing ways of being kind on a daily basis.
Red class really enjoyed celebrating Mental Health Day today. We spoke during circle time about what the words ‘mental health’ mean and the children were very creative in their ideas of keeping their brains happy! We enjoyed reading our story (see picture below) which talks about all the different ways our heart can feel.
Red class absolutely loved celebrating and fully immersing themselves in No Pens Day which was celebrated across the whole school. The aim of this day was to focus and celebrate communication and language and Red class chose to do this through show and tell. Each child brought in something special and shared it with their classmates by standing at the front of the class and talking all about it. We are so proud of each child as this takes a lot of courage and we have uploaded a video recording onto Tapestry for parents/carers to see!
