Thank you to Lynn and Becky for cooking us a super Christmas lunch. Thank you to the PTFA for our crackers.
We wore odd socks to celebrate what makes us unique in Anti-Bullying Week.
We finished our Diwali celebrations with an Indian stick dance.
We enjoyed dressing up to raise money for Children in Need.
We had a wonderful day learning all about Diwali. We had a puppet show telling us the story of Rama and Sita. We made Diwali cards and made Rangoli patterns. Thank you Mrs Mistry for organising a fantastic day. Happy Diwali everyone.
We have enjoyed November the 5th. We have explored light and dark. We made the classroom dark and had glow stick sparklers. We made firework pictures using shiny objects, the light box and pastels. We decorated our dark tent in the classroom with lights.
Today we had some visitors that were hiding in our outside environment. We each found a squirrel and have taken them home to look after them. What a lovely way of ending our first term at school. Thank you so much to our fantastic PTFA for funding this activity.
We are enjoying exploring the outside environment and Autumn. We read the Enormous Turnip. We peeled and cut different vegetables and made soup.
We have been doing lots of number work this week. Recognising numbers and counting objects.
We have been showing each other how to cross the road safely. We have been using road signs and making roads in our play. We have been writing road safety posters in our books.
Our Bear Hunt inspired us to explore mark making to represent, grass, rivers, mud, forests and snow. We used paint, brushes, sticks, mud, shaving foam, bark, crayons and pencils.
We ended our week with P.E. We explored ways of moving around the room and finding space. Our challenge was to balance a bean bag when we were moving. Well done Red Class you were amazing.
Today we went on a ‘Bear Hunt’. We went through long wavy grass, a deep cold river, thick oozy mud, a big dark forest, a swirling whirling snowstorm and a narrow gloomy cave. Look what we found.
It was so lovely to see the rest of the school this week on the interactive board via zoom in our classroom. We had two school assemblies. We enjoyed trying to see people that we knew.
We had our lunch in the hall today.
We had a super afternoon too. Great work Red Class.
What a super first morning we have had. Well done Red Class.
It has been lovely meeting you and your families. We can't wait for our new Red Class to all be together. We look forward to you all starting school on Wednesday 9th September. Keep checking our Class page for photos of all the learning we are doing.
