Ian has 2 children at Sandford School and recently has been a stay at home parent and part-time carer for his mum.  He is also a big sports fan with a particular interest in local and county cricket.

• Ian spent 31 years in Social Services and Policing, working in numerous roles, including: Press Officer, responding to enquiries from local and national media agencies, preparing press releases and conduction media interviews.
• Professional Standard, Investigating police employees in relation to allegations of criminal offences and misconduct.
• CID, the last two years as a Detective Inspector in Counter Terrorism, mainly safeguarding vulnerable people.

Ian also has experience in writing policy, managing budgets assessing risk and recruitment, including interviewing new staff, and has a reputation for achieving and expecting high standards, along with a strong interest in developing people, whether at work or at my local cricket club.  In addition, I have a basic teaching qualification.
