Daily Exercise

Let's Get Moving!

As you all know, keeping active is so important for everyone and it is possibly more important than ever to keep active at this challenging time. It's amazing for our physical health but also extremely beneficial for our mental health. We need to make sure we are looking after both. We both love spending time outside as it helps us to keep positive and also gives us an opportunity to explore our local area!

We have decided to make an exercise section on our class website to try and encourage all of Yellow class to do some form of exercise every single day. This can be a variety of things and we would love to see you keeping active by uploading photos and/or videos to Class Dojo. We know that you all love PE in Yellow class and enjoy being active and being out in the fresh air so we are confident you will be continuing this at home. We can't wait to see what you have been getting up to.

Ideas to try at home

  • Joe Wicks is doing a live 'PE with Joe' every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on his YouTube channel. This was extremely popular last year during the first lockdown and helped a lot of families structure their day. This starts at 9am and normally lasts 30 minutes.
  • Cosmic Kids Yoga on YouTube
  • Daily walks outside with your family
  • Disney 10 Minute Shakeups https://www.nhs.uk/10-minute-shake-up/shake-ups
  • Super Movers https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers
  • NHS Change 4 Life https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities
  • Wake and shake videos on YouTube (Koo Koo Kangaroo is a fantastic starting place)
  • Active Kids Do Better https://www.activekidsdobetter.co.uk/active-home
  • Youth Sport Trust https://www.youthsporttrust.org/primary-pe-activities
  • Putting music on in the house and dancing as a family
